D.A. Davidson Research Deepens Research Expertise With Hiring of Michael Baker to Cover Consumer Hardlines Sector

Firm continues growing research team with focus on significant industries

D.A. Davidson & Co. announced today that the firm has continued expanding its institutional research team with the addition of experienced analyst Michael Baker. Baker will provide coverage of the consumer hardlines sector, including retailers and warehouse clubs selling consumer electronics, grocery, home goods, auto parts and sporting goods.

Baker joins an award-winning institutional research team with 20 senior analysts who provide coverage of more than 400 publicly traded companies across five core industry verticals. He was previously with Deutsche Bank Securities, where he was a member of a No. 1-ranked global research team and led coverage of a variety of consumer areas. Baker also has prior experience with Alex. Brown & Sons and in the retail sector. He holds an MBA from The Wharton Business School at the University of Pennsylvania and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Tufts University.
