February 3, 2021

D.A. Davidson Companies has named Karen Brandvold, Senior Vice President, Director of Corporate Services, as the 2020 recipient of the company’s Bragg Lewis Knutson Community Service Award. Given in recognition of outstanding volunteer efforts, the award is the highest honor bestowed upon a D.A. Davidson associate.

Brandvold, who works at the company’s headquarters in Great Falls, Montana, has demonstrated an exceptional commitment to nonprofit causes over a number of years. Among recent highlights is her strong service on behalf of the Great Falls Public Schools Foundation. She has been a foundation board member since 2014, is the current board chairwoman and has worked to structure key D.A. Davidson sponsorships for foundation projects. She is a board member and past chairwoman for the Great Falls College-MSU board of directors. For 2020, she served as a “loaned executive” for the United Way of Cascade County, helping to bolster the nonprofit’s annual fundraising campaign. In addition, she has been instrumental in the development of several important D.A. Davidson giving initiatives, and her efforts have helped to ensure the growth and strength of the firm’s giving program while sharpening its focus. In addition, she has spent hours serving as a hands-on community volunteer for a number of causes.

Brandvold, who joined D.A. Davidson in 2009, received the Bragg Lewis Knutson award during D.A. Davidson’s recent virtual shareholders meeting. The honor recognizes one employee annually and is named for three D.A. Davidson executives who were active in community and professional service.
