Hayes, a Director in Investment Banking, earned the award based on his achievements as an investment banking professional who has reached a significant level of success and made notable contributions to both his industry and community.

The Emerging Leaders Awards were born as the 40 Under 40 Awards in the United States and have been expanded to celebrate the achievements of young professionals. Winners have been chosen for their accomplishments and expertise from a pool of nominees by an independent judging panel of distinguished business leaders and are invited to a black-tie awards gala in Manhattan in June.
Hayes has been with D.A. Davidson since 1999 and has been an instrumental member of the financial institutions investment banking team. Over his career, he has worked on over 50 completed M&A transactions in the banking space representing over $1.6 billion in transaction value and has helped banks raise over $3 billion in capital through more than 60 equity and debt capital raises. A native Montanan, he also has been active in the Great Falls community.
