D.A. Davidson Companies has undertaken an initiative to ensure our public website meets or exceeds ADA Compliance and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) Level AA OR higher standards.
Website Accessibility
Ensuring that all of our clients have access to the tools and information presented on our website is important to D.A. Davidson. To that end we have made the following accessibility improvements on our site:
- Navigating the website via a keyboard follows the visual flow of the page, providing a logical and intuitive experience.
- Appropriate labels, instructions, and descriptions added to form fields, assisting user navigation of forms on the website.
- Screen reader conveys website information in an accurate and intuitive manner.
- Addition of a “skip link” to bypass repetitive structural elements.
- Addition of alternative text for images and other non-text elements.
- Sighted keyboard users are provided with a visual indicator of the element that currently has keyboard focus.
Adobe Acrobat Portable Document Format (PDF) Documents
D.A. Davidson is also in the process of ensuring that any PDF files contained on our public site are ADA compliant. We expect this transition to be complete by the first quarter of 2023. Adobe Systems, Inc. offers a downloadable reader which allows access to PDF documents with assistive technologies.
