Honor Adds to Long List of Awards for D.A. Davidson Analysts
Mark Kelleher, vice president, senior research analyst with D.A. Davidson & Co. in Boston, has been named an All-Star Analyst by Zacks Investment Research based on his exceptional stock picking for 2015.
Kelleher recommended stocks in 2015 that, together in a hypothetical portfolio, would have provided a 44.76% total investment return, according to Zacks calculations. Of the 10 analysts who earned the All-Star designation, Kelleher is the only analyst covering the telecom and network equipment sector.
“Mark has demonstrated the expertise, intelligence and commitment that D.A. Davidson institutional clients have come to depend on,” said John Rogers, head of institutional equity research for D.A. Davidson. “He very much deserves this award, which is representative of our continued dedication to providing clients high-quality, industry-focused research and value-added stock selection.”
Kelleher joined D.A. Davidson in 2013 to expand the firm’s coverage of the enterprise infrastructure services sector. He is one of 16 D.A. Davidson equity analysts who provide research coverage of more than 280 publicly traded companies. D.A. Davidson provides award-winning research to investors and institutional clients across North America, with a focus on several core sectors.
For the awards, Zacks measures performance by the return an investor would have achieved if he or she followed the analyst’s recommendations. Analysts who are objectively determined to be at the top of their game earn the “All-Star” title, or a 5-star ranking. To be eligible for star rankings in an industry, an analyst must have made at least five simultaneous recommendations for companies within that industry during the year. Ratings are based on the performance of a hypothetical model portfolio that includes, at any time, all stocks in the industry rated by that analyst.
