Jack Andrews, Senior Research Analyst for D.A. Davidson, believes Oracle has reasons for the company's latest purchase that are different than those of previous acquisitions.
Oracle recently announced plans to purchase NetSuite, a cloud software company that is a leader in subscription-based, on demand software.
Andrews, speaking with The Los Angeles Times, said he believes the transaction is unique among recent Oracle acquisitions.
