D.A. Davidson & Co., the largest full-service investment firm headquartered in the Northwest, today announced that Michael Jackson, longtime co-manager and financial advisor, has been promoted and will serve as vice president, financial advisor and branch manager for the firm’s two Spokane offices.
Jackson oversees and supervises long-established offices in downtown Spokane and Spokane’s South Hill area, overseeing 15 financial advisors and a number of other staff professionals. Jackson is responsible for management of day-to-day operations and for helping to ensure that the professionals in both branches provide personalized financial guidance while following the strict regulatory guidelines of the securities industry.
The Spokane offices are two of 16 D.A. Davidson offices in Washington State. The professionals in each branch offer wealth planning and other investment services and products for individual investors, families, businesses and nonprofit organizations, with the goal of developing strategies that help investors reach their financial goals.
Jackson has been a co-branch manager in Spokane since 2014, working alongside Bob Cummings, who retired from his longtime leadership role in July. Jackson joined D.A. Davidson in 2009 after prior work with one other financial services firm. Since then, he has earned the Certified Wealth Strategist® professional designation, designed to help financial advisors effectively address clients’ more complex wealth management issues. A graduate of Gonzaga University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration, Jackson also served on the college’s baseball team for two years. He has been active in the Spokane community, with a strong focus on involvement with local charities focusing on the fight against childhood cancer.
