It was in the spirit of enhancing cultural vibrancy in his hometown that Joe Denhart, Senior Vice President and Co-Branch Manager of D.A. Davidson’s Port Angeles office, made his way— with check in hand—to the Port Angeles Symphony office. This was not just any check: It was $4,000 to continue D.A. Davidson’s support of the symphony’s highly successful Adventures in Music school project.
A collaborative effort between the symphony, all school districts in Clallam County and three additional schools in Jefferson County, Adventures in Music provides quality live performing arts programs during the school year. The program also assists teachers with development of lesson plans and ideas for integrating arts into other areas of school curriculum.
Joe and his branch began their symphony donations 16 years ago. His team especially enjoys contributing to music education as a way to build the area’s arts community. “With our support of the Port Angeles Symphony, we are pleased to strengthen our commitment to helping communities become better places,” said Joe. “Adventures in Music has had a meaningful impact in Clallam County since 1994, and we are excited about its expansion into Jefferson County.”
