Senior Analyst to Cover FinTech Companies
D.A. Davidson & Co. has announced that Peter J. Heckmann has joined the firm’s award-winning institutional equity research team as a senior analyst. Heckmann will focus primarily on public companies in the financial technology and vertical software sectors.

Heckmann joins D.A. Davidson after serving as a managing director and senior equity research analyst with Avondale Partners LLC. He has been frequently quoted as a news source in national and regional media outlets. He previously served as a portfolio manager with the Blackthorn Group and also has experience as an analyst with A.G. Edwards & Sons, Stifel Nicolaus and other securities industry firms. Heckmann earned his MBA and bachelor’s degree from Creighton University in Omaha and also holds the Certified Financial Analyst professional designation.
