Acquisition brings increased fiber capabilities and hyperscale data center presence to CommScope
D.A. Davidson & Co. announced that it has served as exclusive financial advisor to Cable Exchange, a leading quick-turn supplier of fiber optic and copper assemblies for data, voice and video communications, in its sale to CommScope, a global leader in infrastructure solutions for communications networks. The transaction was led by Brad Gevurtz, Managing Director of D.A. Davidson’s Technology Investment Banking Group and James Keckler, Director of the firm’s Orange County, Calif. office.
Cable Exchange, headquartered in Santa Ana, Calif., manufactures a variety of fiber optic and copper cables, trunks and related products used in high-capacity data centers and other business enterprise applications. The company, founded in 1986, specializes in quick-turn delivery of its infrastructure products to customers from its two U.S. manufacturing centers located in Santa Ana, Calif. and Pineville, N.C.

“The team’s expertise and capabilities allowed us to efficiently come to an agreement while maintaining our focus on serving our customers,” Bowlin said. The acquisition is expected to be completed within the next 60 days, subject to customary closing conditions.
