More than 1,300 D.A. Davidson Companies associates nationwide will step up to serve as volunteers this month for the firm’s inaugural D.A. Davidson Day initiative scheduled for Sept. 15-23. At a company known for its focus on social responsibility and philanthropy, the annual event represents a strong addition to the company’s already-long list of programs and initiatives that benefit nonprofit organizations.

The nonprofit groups that will benefit from D.A. Davidson Day were nominated and selected by local D.A. Davidson associates. They represent a mix of organizations that include homeless shelters, food banks, senior services organizations, animal shelters, youth-focused organizations and groups providing housing for low-income families, among others.
The many volunteers of D.A. Davidson Day will be easy to identify. Each person has been given a green D.A. Davidson Day t-shirt showing the firm’s logo inside a heart — a symbolic reminder of the caring aspect of their service.
“We believe D.A. Davidson Day 2017 marks the beginning of a tradition with much more impact than a one-day event,” Kerr said. “We are excited to spend this time volunteering, showing that the extraordinary acts of ordinary people can make a difference in the lives of others.”
