Brad Rice, Vice President, Financial Advisor, has been named the 2017 recipient of the Bragg Lewis Knutson Community Service Award. Given in recognition of exceptional volunteer efforts, the Bragg Lewis Knutson award is the highest honor bestowed upon a D.A. Davidson Companies associate.
Rice has been deeply involved in the Lewiston community for a number of years. Highlights of his volunteer work include:
- Serving as President of the Lewiston School Board. He has been a member since 2011.
- Serving as a Board Member since 2009 and currently on the Executive Committee of the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Lewis Clark Valley.
- Former service as President of the Lewis Clark Chapter of the Vandal Scholarship Fund.
- Former work volunteer firefighter for the Wheatland Fire Protection District.
- In 2017, he was instrumental in helping to get a bond issue passed for construction of a new high school in Lewiston. Rice worked hard alongside District leadership and a citizens committee to provide voters with detailed information on the measure. Voters approved the $59.8 million project in a landslide.
A native of Lewiston, Rice holds a law degree and bachelor’s degrees in finance and accounting from the University of Idaho. He joined D.A. Davidson in 2006 upon graduation from the University of Idaho College of Law. Rice previously enjoyed a short stint in the NFL with the New York Giants.
The Bragg Lewis Knutson Community Service Award celebrates community service by honoring a D.A. Davidson associate who demonstrates an outstanding commitment to volunteer work. The award is named for three D.A. Davidson executives who were active in community and professional service.
