Tom Diffely of Portland, Ore., and Kris Sapp of Great Falls, Mont., have been named the recipients of the Ian B. Davidson Cultural Excellence Award, one of the most prestigious awards given to employees of D.A. Davidson Companies.
The Ian B. Davidson Cultural Excellence Award recognizes D.A. Davidson employees who are committed to exemplifying the firm’s core values, which include service excellence, business ethics and integrity, and community involvement. The award is named for Ian B. Davidson, Chairman Emeritus of D.A. Davidson Companies. Davidson developed and actively nurtured the company’s core values as a company leader for a number of years.
Tom Diffely is a Managing Director, Senior Research Analyst in Portland. In receiving the award, he was cited for earning respect and appreciation from his colleagues for his strong work ethic, personal integrity and dependability. Although his work requires an extensive travel schedule and long hours, Diffely is exceptionally responsive and committed to client service excellence. Even through numerous changes in the Institutional Research team that Diffely is part of, he maintains a positive, constructive attitude that has created a sense of stability and camaraderie among his colleagues. He has been with D.A. Davidson since 2010.
Kris Sapp is a Reorganization Associate in Great Falls. Throughout Sapp’s 15 years of working as part of D.A. Davidson’s Operations team, she has become known for her trademark smile and friendly approach. She has organized or contributed to a variety of community volunteer initiatives on behalf of D.A. Davidson and has led numerous department events. She has been particularly passionate about planning meals and other assistance for colleagues who have medical issues or have experienced a family death. Sapp is known for her can-do spirit, friendliness and willingness to tackle extra work.
The awards were presented during the company’s recent shareholders’ meeting.
