More than 1,350 D.A. Davidson Companies associates across the country will have the opportunity to serve as volunteers this month during the firm’s D.A. Davidson Day initiative. At a company known for its focus on social responsibility and philanthropy, the firm-wide event, which was launched last year, represents a key component in the company’s already-strong group of programs that benefit nonprofit organizations.

“We look forward to this time dedicated to assisting nonprofit organizations and to empowering our associates to give of time and talents,” said Kerr.
D.A. Davidson Day is scheduled for Sept. 10-15 in at least 75 locations spanning the United States.
The nonprofit groups that will benefit from D.A. Davidson Day were nominated and selected by local D.A. Davidson associates. They represent a mix of organizations that include homeless shelters, food banks, senior services organizations, animal shelters, youth-focused organizations, and groups providing housing for low-income families, among others.
For the inaugural D.A. Davidson Day in 2017, more than 870 D.A. Davidson associates provided approximately 3,500 hours of volunteer time. The volunteers completed a wide range of work — from sorting food for the hungry to removing trash from beaches — coordinated by 113 nonprofit organizations in 66 locations across the United States.
“With our first D.A. Davidson Day, we began what we believe will be a meaningful tradition that can effect lasting and positive in our communities,” Kerr said. “Our associates understand that with giving back, we each receive an incredible amount in return.”
This year, the many volunteers of D.A. Davidson Day will once again be easy to identify. Each person has been given a white D.A. Davidson Day t-shirt showing the firm’s logo inside a heart — a symbolic reminder of the caring aspect of their service.
