D.A. Davidson & Co. has announced that Philip Winkel, a longtime executive in professional development for the wealth management industry, has been named as the firm’s Director of Practice Management and Professional Development.

Winkel is responsible for leading and supervising D.A. Davidson’s practice management group, which supports financial advisors working from approximately 70 Wealth Management branch offices that span 10 states across the West and Midwest. He and his team deliver practice management resources and solutions for advisors, providing support to advisors to enable advisors to focus on client interaction.
Winkel joins D.A. Davidson with more than 25 years of experience, most recently with UBS Wealth Management. He holds an MBA in marketing from Seattle University and a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Washington.
