D.A. Davidson & Co. today announced the addition of experienced professionals in Kansas City. Brett Becker, Senior Vice President, Tax-Exempt Trading, and Grant Knowlton, Senior Vice President, Institutional Sales, have joined the firm as part of its strategic goal of strengthening its fixed income sales and trading team across the Midwest and expanding into the Missouri and Kansas marketplace.

Becker joins D.A. Davidson to provide institutional clients with fixed income trading ideas and solutions. He previously worked with George K. Baum and Company, where he developed a strong reputation for his expertise across the tax-exempt industry. He holds bachelor’s degrees in business administration and in economics from the University of Kansas.
Knowlton joins the firm to offer fixed income sales and opportunities. He also comes from George K. Baum, where he spent the last five years specializing in municipal and taxable bond sales. Previously, he was with UMB Bank in both Kansas City and Denver. Knowlton holds an MBA from the University of Missouri at Columbia and a bachelor’s degree from Colorado State University, and has earned the Chartered Financial Analyst professional designation.
