A reported merger of Uber and Grubhub may seem unusual during a pandemic. However, Tom White, Institutional Research Analyst for D.A. Davidson, said consolidation in the food delivery business is inevitable and the deal may make sense for both companies at a time when food deliveries are increasing. White commented on the potential merger in a video interview with Yahoo! Finance.
