Firm continues to focus on strengthening its robust research coverage
D.A. Davidson & Co. announced today that the firm has named Tom Diffely, CFA, as director of institutional research and added Hans Chung, CFA, as senior research analyst expanding the firm’s technology coverage in hardware.
Diffely has been part of D.A. Davidson’s Institutional Research group for over 12 years most recently serving as a senior research analyst covering semicap, laser and optical technology. He is preceded by Gil Luria who served as director of research for D.A. Davidson for nearly five years. Gil will remain with the firm as a technology strategist.

Chung joins D.A. Davidson with 11 years of experience, most recently serving as vice president, senior research analyst with KeyBanc’s Capital Markets group where he covered semiconductors and China internet. He earned a master’s of business administration degree from the University of Michigan, Ross School of Business, a master’s of science degree in electrical engineering from the University of Michigan and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the National Taiwan University.
