D.A. Davidson Companies has named Lisa Smith, Senior Vice President, Financial Advisor, Portfolio Manager, as the 2021 recipient of the company’s Bragg Lewis Knutson Community Service Award. Given in recognition of outstanding volunteer efforts, the award is the highest honor bestowed upon a D.A. Davidson associate.
Smith, who works as in D.A. Davidson’s Lincoln, Neb., office, has been deeply involved in the community for a number of years. Highlights include her current role as chair of the Tabitha Foundation Board of Directors, where a $12 million capital campaign is underway to build a multigenerational housing community for senior residents from Tabitha and nursing students from Bryan College of Health Sciences.
For the last 14 years, Smith also has been involved with the Child Advocacy Center in Lincoln and is chairing their capital campaign with the goal to raise $5,200,000 for an addition to the center, which will house the Lincoln Police Department Special Victims Unit, and increase the medical service program, foster care triage space, and training and prevention space.
These are just a few examples of Smith’s much longer and broader record of community service and involvement. Nominators described her as focused, hardworking, ethical and a true leader, constantly working on ways to improve conditions for those less fortunate.
Smith, who joined D.A. Davidson in 2016, received the Bragg Lewis Knutson award during D.A. Davidson’s recent virtual shareholders meeting. The honor recognizes one employee annually and is named for three D.A. Davidson executives who were active in community and professional service.
