D.A. Davidson Companies has named its annual recipients of the company’s highest honors, the Bragg Lewis Knutson Community Service Award and the Ian B. Davidson Cultural Excellence Award, nominated for their service in 2024. These prestigious awards recognize associates for their commitment to community service, professionalism, and adherence to the company’s core values.
Lynda Morin of Great Falls, Montana, received the Bragg Lewis Knutson Community Service Award, given in recognition of outstanding volunteer efforts.
Lynda Morin, Senior Vice President, Financial Advisor, Branch Manager, has demonstrated a deeply rooted, long-term commitment to her community. Through her ongoing dedication, hard work, and mentorship, she has focused her efforts on making a difference for local students, families, and all of Great Falls. She has been a board member of the Great Falls Chamber of Commerce since 2020 and is currently serving as Board Chair through 2026. Recently, the organization lost its CEO/President and Director of Development within weeks; during the six-month search for a new CEO, Morin provided crucial leadership and support to the organization and staff. Her efforts “literally kept the doors open and the organization afloat.”
Nominators also note that Morin takes hands-on involvement to the next level with her support of students in Great Falls, particularly at CM Russell High School. She has never said “no” to a student who has asked for a sponsorship. She leads the annual Great Falls Public School foundation raffle competition between the two high schools and created the Carl Tucker Memorial Scholarship for student athletes. Morin’s support extends beyond the financial as well: she serves as an informal counselor to students, particularly those who may not have ideal home support systems, emphasizing the importance of hard work, good choices, and education. In recognition of her decades of support to CM Russell High School, Morin was honored with an induction into their Legends Hall of Fame.
Rainbow Brooks of Roseville, California, and Amanda Music of Great Falls, Montana, have been named recipients of the Ian B. Davidson Cultural Excellence Award. This award recognizes D.A. Davidson employees who are committed to exemplifying the firm’s core values of service excellence, business ethics and integrity, and community involvement. The honor is named for Ian Davidson, Chairman Emeritus of D.A. Davidson Companies, who developed and nurtured the firm’s core values as a company leader for many years.
Rainbow Brooks, Supervisory Branch Office Operations Manager, is praised by her nominators for how she embodies the company’s core values each day. Her plate is very full supporting the Roseville, Fresno, Minden, and Austin branches, but she’s always available to the team, ensuring her colleagues feel valued, heard, and supported. Brooks helped oversee two successful office remodels, and whenever issues or delays arose, nominators note that she was able to persevere, navigating through each complication with professionalism, a can-do attitude, and a smile. Brooks is recognized and praised by her staff for putting her teammates first, her willingness to help anyone who needs it, and for representing the best of the culture of D.A. Davidson through her work and daily interactions with clients and colleagues.
Amanda Music, Vice President, New Accounts Manager, has accomplished and contributed so much over her 19 years at D.A. Davidson. From her first entry-level role to her current position leading the New Accounts department, Music has worked diligently over her career to learn and grow, and to help her teammates do the same. Whether her team is supporting new advisors, new branch openings, or working on cross-functional projects like the Consolidated Audit Trail (CAT), she sets a positive example and provides leadership for her team while operating with strong integrity. As a manager, she looks to empower her team to problem solve, provide answers, and maintain relationships and service standards to best support internal partners and clients. On a personal level, she takes the time to celebrate wins, acknowledge contributions, and recognize other personal milestones across her team.
Morin, Brooks, and Music received the peer-driven awards during the company’s recent shareholders meeting in Denver.
