FAQs

To obtain login credentials, new users can complete the easy self-enrollment process by going directly to access.davidsoncompanies.com/a_login/self_enrollment and answering a few questions.
In order to offer more features and enhance our existing security and privacy best practices, D.A. Davidson is prompting all existing Client Access users to complete an enrollment update. This process will allow you to refresh your eDelivery preferences and security settings and will enable us to make future enhancements to the site.
Yes. Every accountholder can now establish a personal Client Access login.
No. The Enrollment Update can only be completed through the Client Access site. After the deferral period ends, Mobile App users will be directed to the Client Access site to complete the enrollment update if they have not already done so.
If you choose to “Update Later,” you will maintain your current view of accounts and documents until the deferral period ends. However, you will not be able to enroll in eDelivery, utilize Secure Document Share, or provide Guest Access to other users.
After the temporary deferral period ends, you will be required to complete the Enrollment Update to login. If you do not complete the update by a specific date, your login will be removed from Client Access and you will need to complete the self-enrollment process again.
After you complete the Enrollment Update, your ability to view accounts for other members of your household will change. You will continue to see accounts for which you are an authorized accountholder (which includes any recently closed or held away accounts) but you will no longer be able to view accounts for other members of your household until each member enrolls for Client Access and grants you Guest Access.
After you complete the Enrollment Update, you will no longer be able to view accounts for other members of your household or make eDelivery elections on their behalf. Other members of your household will receive their statements, trade confirmations, and other Client Communications via USPS mail until they complete the self-enrollment process and elect eDelivery.
Remember, after you complete the Enrollment Update, your ability to view accounts for other members of your household will change. Therefore, you may notice an initial change in total account value due to a change in the accounts you are entitled to view.
Yes. To view accounts owned by others in your household, the authorized accountholder must first establish a Client Access login and provide Guest Access to you.
Yes. At the end of the Enrollment Update you will have the opportunity to invite another client to enroll. Selecting this option will send a personal email invitation to other household members you identify. Alternatively, new users can complete the self-enrollment process by going directly to access.davidsoncompanies.com/a_login/self_enrollment.
We encourage all accountholders to establish a personal login, elect eDelivery, and provide Guest Access to others as desired.
After you complete the Enrollment Update you will have access to Secure Document Share, described below. You will also benefit from future enhancements to the site.
You may also see a change in your overall account value which is driven by the accounts you are entitled to view upon completing the Enrollment Update.
All accounts associated with your social security number will now be visible for two years, at which time they will automatically be removed. Accounts held away from D.A. Davidson (ex: 529 Plan accounts) are included in your view so that we may provide documents related to these accounts via eDelivery.
After you complete the Enrollment Update and elect eDelivery, you will begin to receive email notifications when new Client Communications are posted to the site.
If you have a POA document on file with D.A. Davidson, you will continue to have view-only access to approved accounts. This means you will be able to view the account dashboard, portfolio details, account activity, and associated documents, but you will not be able to make eDelivery elections or grant Guest Access to others.
No. Going forward, Client Access users will be limited to a single login that provides access to both their business and personal accounts. We recommend completing the enrollment update using your preferred login and creating a nickname for your accounts in the Settings menu to identify which accounts are personal and which are business. A future enhancement will allow you to group accounts for a custom experience. Your second login will be invalid and purged from the system at a future date.
After you complete the Enrollment Update, you will only be able to see accounts for which you are an authorized accountholder. For assistance with household functionality within Quicken, please contact our Client Access Support team at 1-800-575-9503.

Guest Access allows you to provide view-only access to your account information with others in your household or with an interested party (e.g., a CPA) that has a Client Access login.
Yes. Guest Access settings in place prior to April 27, 2023 will need to be re-established. This can be accomplished by navigating to User Settings > Account Management > Guest Access. You will be asked to review and agree to new Guest Access Terms of Use as part of the update.
Contact your Financial Professional to request interested party access for the CPA (or attorney).
Each account owner has equal access to their accounts in Client Access which creates the possibility of multiple document delivery preferences. In the case of a joint account where there are differing elections, the accountholder that did not enroll in eDelivery will receive paper documents via USPS and the accountholder who elected eDelivery will receive an email notification when a new document for the account is available. Regardless of the delivery method selected, all account owners can access all documents related to their account on Client Access at any time.
All Client Access notifications will come from [email protected]. Previously, all notifications came from [email protected].
Secure Document Share allows you to exchange documents with your Financial Professional Team securely and directly within D.A. Davidson Client Access. Sharing documents through this service is simple and provides an additional layer of security when sharing sensitive or confidential information.
