Sam Elder serves as a Senior Vice President within D.A. Davidson’s Special District Group. He joined D.A. Davidson in early 2021 to help build the firm’s real estate financing presence in Utah.
Sam is experienced in analyzing, structuring, and investing in real estate development debt across the country. He has a specialized expertise in tax increment financial modeling, real estate pro-forma modeling, C-PACE debt structuring, and has a breadth of experience in investing across all public finance sectors.
Prior to joining D.A. Davidson, Sam spent more than five years at Goldman Sachs as a trader and research analyst for a fixed income team that managed more than $120 billion of AUM in tax-free investments. He graduated from Brigham Young University in 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in philosophy.
