Brian Courtney has been involved in the municipal bond industry since 1996, offering over 20 years of experience. He is responsible for the coordination of efforts with our sales and trading desk, including live-market commentary upon structure, timing and pricing, all as an expression of prudent risk management. Brian’s experience includes pricing calls, pricing and allotment of the firm's negotiated product, competitive underwritings, secondary trading and the hedging of D.A. Davidson’s risk positions—making him exceptionally qualified to provide pricing information to charter schools, counties, cities and other issuers. Since 2011, the Department (which he oversees) has underwritten more than 2,100 financings during that timeframe with a total par amount of over $12.75 billion. Brian graduated from New Mexico State University in 1995. He holds FINRA Securities Licenses of Series 7, 63, 52, 53 and 24.
