Kyle Thomas joined D.A. Davidson & Co.’s Denver office in 2019 after previous work with George K. Baum & Company where he was involved in approximately $600 million of tax-exempt financings. Kyle has participated in the transaction execution and quantitative structuring of both tax-exempt and taxable debt financings for Colorado special districts and local governments. His specific area of focus is on Colorado metropolitan districts, and he has acted as lead investment banker on multiple transactions for non-rated bonds, rated bonds and direct placements. In addition, Kyle has acted as investment banker for a variety of local governments, including the Towns of Windsor, Milliken, Frisco, Edgewater, and Carbondale, along with Ouray County, Adams County Fire and Loveland Fire Rescue. He provided local governments with a wide range of services, including municipal bond underwriting, facilitating bank loans and lease purchase financing.
Kyle holds an MBA and an MSM from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business and a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Purdue University.
Prior to working as an investment banker, Kyle worked for DePuySynthes, a Johnson & Johnson company, for 12 years as an engineer, sales representative and technical sales manager.
