Sam Hartman serves as a Senior Vice President within D.A. Davidson’s Special District Group. Prior to joining the firm, he served as Vice President of Portfolio Investments at Ranch Capital LLC, a private equity firm where he was responsible for overseeing the financial and operational performance of the firm’s real estate investments for nine years. He specialized in underwriting and executing ground-up residential, mixed-use and commercial development projects, and was instrumental in securing equity, debt, and public financing for masterplan communities and commercial projects in the western United States.
Sam began his career in management consulting, where his responsibilities included conducting strategic analyses on client engagements focused on M&A, business process improvement, new product offerings and market expansion. He graduated magna cum laude from Brigham Young University with a bachelor’s degree in economics.
