Brooke Hutchens is a Managing Director at D.A. Davidson, focused on working with Special District clients to finance public infrastructure. Since joining the firm in 2013, Brooke has been integral to the underwriting or private placement of over $8 billion in Special District debt. With over 18 years of experience in fixed income capital markets, Brooke focuses on providing exceptional, results-driven solutions for Special District clients across the spectrum of development timing. Brooke has extensive experience working with clients on a range of residential, retail, and commercial development, financed by a variety of revenues including property tax, sales tax, tax increment and fees. She has collaborated with local municipalities to create new special districts and to arrange public-private partnerships fostering growth in her home state of Colorado. Prior to joining D.A. Davidson, she was a Director at Lone Star Funds, a leading private equity firm, where she opened their New York office and led a team that underwrote and acquired distressed real estate and mortgage-backed assets in excess of $7 billion over a 24-month investment period.

Brooke graduated summa cum laude from Yale University and holds a bachelor’s degree in linguistics.
